Winter In Cyprus

Cyprus continues to be a popular tourist destination during the winter months of December, January and February. Although winter normally brings the rainy season, there is still an average of six hours of bright sunshine a day and it isn’t uncommon for visitors to be seen wearing shorts and sandals during the day! This being said, it is wise to bring warm winter clothing for any rainfall and the evenings, when temperatures drop.
In the coastal resort of Paphos, visitors have the advantage of being able to watch some of the most stunning sunsets of the year during winter and by the time February arrives, the almond trees are in bloom.
Outdoor activities can be enjoyed at this time of year and conditions are ideal for skiing in the Troodos Mountains inland, particularly in January.
