Paphos Town Hall, situated in the heart of the old town, hosts civil ceremonies. It is in a convenient, easy-to-find spot and close to most hotels. Ideal for both summer and winter weddings, a ceremony at Paphos Town Hall can be tailor-made to the couple’s tastes.

The Ceremony Rooms
The official ceremony room at Paphos Town Hall can seat up to 12 guests with standing room for up to 30. 
Larger wedding parties can be accommodated in a second, unofficial ceremony room depending on availability.

The Ceremony
A civil ceremony at Paphos Town Hall would start with a CD rendition of the traditional marriage music ‘Here Comes the Bride’ for the entry of the bride. The marriage officer joins the ceremony after the bride arrives.
It is important to note that, as the bridal couple, you are free to select your own personal choice of music for both the entry of the bride and the exit of the newlyweds and guests.
There is no restriction on who can give the bride away. However, two witnesses, each over the age of 18, need to attend. The witnesses can be chosen by you, the couple. If you do not have any witnesses, two will be provided by the Town Hall and Ido Weddings.
Ceremonies at Paphos Town Hall can take place between 8:30am and 2pm from Monday to Friday. During the high summer season, ceremonies can be conducted later in the afternoon on Thursdays only. Paphos Town Hall does not charge an extra fee for this.

Wedding Certificate
After a civil ceremony, the marriage licence is issued immediately. The document is in English and does not need to be altered in any way nor registered on your return to the UK. The licence can be used to make changes with any official documents such as passports or bank information, if necessary.
Ido Weddings would suggest that you obtain an extra copy of the licence on your wedding day. The current cost for this is €13.67.

Photography
Paphos Town Hall is a beautiful neo-classical building, an elegant setting for your special day.
The traditional interior of the venue is ideal for ceremony video and photo shoots. The building’s portico is perfect for confetti throwing and an atmospheric spot to film and photograph the newlyweds and their guests. 
Although personal video and photography is permitted, Ido Weddings would strongly recommend a professional service which they would be happy to help arrange.

Necessary Documents
Ido Weddings will assist you in submitting all documentation required in order for the ceremony to take place prior to the wedding day.
The current cost of a compulsory marriage licence fee and ceremony is €281.92.

Registrar
If you wish to have your civil ceremony conducted outside Paphos Town Hall, for instance near a beach or hotel, you will need to make arrangements for the presence of a private registrar.
This choice of ceremony must take place within the jurisdiction of Paphos Town Hall and costs €350.00. Such a ceremony can be conducted between 3 and 7pm from Monday to Friday.

GOLD PACKAGE

Before Arrival

We get all the details and date finalized and the wedding confirmed in writing

  1. Information regarding dates and times for wedding ceremony will be made available within 24 hour.
  2. Details of all legal documents required for any type of ceremony, and a schedule of when they are required, providing valuable peace of mind.
  3. A full wedding budget plan including all optional items will be available to you within 24 hours of your enquiry.
  4. Written confirmation of your wedding booking and all administrative correspondence including a copy of the civil authorities booking form will be sent by post.
  5. An experienced wedding co-ordinator will be made available to you from the very beginning of your wedding preparations to offer support and advice throughout the process.

On Arrival In Paphos

We will meet and confirm all wedding plans, finalize the details and answer any other queries you may have.

  1. Your wedding coordinator, an experienced member of “I Do wedding” team will be responsible for your wedding plans from your arrival until departure.
  2. A welcome meeting to introduce ourselves and show you what Paphos has to offer to make your wedding an unforgettable experience.
  3. Your wedding coordinator will accompany you, and provide support and guidance, throughout your pre-arranged meeting with relevant authorities. They will advise on submitting the necessary documentation and obtaining a special licence wedding certificate.
  4. We will then escort you to view your wedding ceremony venue, and using our own prepared guidelines we will  talk you through the ceremony, showing you how to pronounce your vows, where to stand, how to exchange rings, signing the register etc. We make sure that you are comfortable and confident with the whole ceremony, including placing of guests etc.
  5. Wedding reception meeting at the restaurant. The details of the reception will be finalized in the reception venue, where we will confirm details of drinks, menus, seating plans, decorations, entertainment and speeches.
  6. Office meeting to finalize wedding day plans
  7. You will have a direct phone line to your personal wedding coordinator - your questions are always important to us.
  8. During your staying in Paphos our office facilities and wedding accessories shop are available to you. These include steamer hire for that very important dress, and full internet access and printing facilities for your use.
  9. Pre-wedding day reminder time line, meeting with family.
  10. Attendance by your personal wedding coordinator before during and after the wedding ceremony.
  11. After wedding day service, including arranging after parties etc.
  12. You will be invited to finalize your wedding holiday, providing feed-back and (where applicable) view proofs of wedding photographs and DVD.

Flowers

All flowers will be chosen to beautifully complement and co-ordinate with the chosen colour scheme

  1. Bridal bouquet - a delightful round posy of carnations. Uppgrades or alternative designs can be selected on arrival in Paphos.
  2. Carnation Boutonniere for Groom- The Groom's boutonniere should be slightly different from the other male guests.
  3. Carnation Boutonniere for Best Man.
  4. Carnation Boutonniere for Bride's escort.

Wedding Cake and Champagne

  1. Wedding Cake - A charming round, one tier sponge with white icing and a fresh flower topping. The flowers will be in keeping with the bridal colour scheme and bouquet.

Wedding Photography

  1. A two to two and a half hour Photo Shoot (depending on number of guests and style of phot shoot requested)
  2. Thirty photos 6 x 8 inches (15x20cm), chosen in consultation with you, professionally displayed in a leather album and delivered to you before your departure.
  3. An additional five black and white and five sepia photographs can be selected from the album.

  2. The number of guests may vary and we can upgrade the package to accomodate additional guests at any time prior to the wedding day. 
  3. All wedding reception venues are prepared by IDO staff, and wedding decorations include white chair covers and confetti.

  2. Groom and Best Man vintage car - a vintage car will be made available to transport the groom and best man from their accommodation to the wedding ceremony prior to the arrival of the bride.
  3. Stretch Limousine for Bridemaids and Flowergirls - a stretch limo will be made available to transport the bridesmaids and flowergirls from their accommodation to the wedding ceremony prior to the arrival of the bride.
  4. Guest fun bus- A Mini bus decorated with balloons is the fun way to transport guests from bridal accommodation to ceremony venue, and then on to the wedding reception venue.

Wedding Photography

  2. The number of guests may vary and we can upgrade the package to accomodate additional guests at any time prior to the wedding day. 
  3. All wedding reception venues are prepared by IDO staff, and wedding decorations include white chair covers and confetti.
  4. DJ will play a selection of up to date music and music of your choice at your reception venue.
  5. Roulette table can be made available - the ultimate fun for guests to play at your reception!
