Beach And Garden Venues
Being the ‘Island of Love’, Cyprus has an eternal romance with the beautiful
Mediterranean never far away.
Naturally, Paphos is a very popular location for couples who choose to hold their
wedding ceremony near an atmospheric beach or in sun-kissed gardens.
Do keep in mind that most garden ceremonies are booked between May and September,
ensuring fine weather for your celebrations.
If this option sounds ideal for you, Ido Weddings can offer
you a selection of hotel venues which cater for those who want to exchange vows
in ‘paradise on earth’.
Cyprus Beach or Hotel Garden Wedding Ceremonies
Now in Paphos it is possible to have your wedding ceremony in the gardens
or grounds of a hotel. This is yet another option couples have when choosing
which kind of ceremony would suit them best. It also enables couples to
choose some of the best settings possible for a beautiful wedding in Cyprus.
The ceremony would be conducted by a personal registrar and would be exactly
the same in length, time and content as the civil ceremonies performed in
the municipalities. The wedding certificate and ceremony are in English and
will last approximately 7-8 minutes for the actual reading. What can make
this really special are the surroundings in which the ceremony may be performed.
The difference is that some couples may find this a more private affair,
but this really does depend on the hotel chosen. What couples really need
to be aware of is that it is not within Cypriot law to marry on the beach
in Cyprus. However, it is permitted to marry near or overlooking the beach!
Please keep in mind that the beaches in Cyprus are not for private use only
and are open to the public and hotel residents.
Whether or not the couple needs to be resident at a hotel in order to use
the grounds or gardens, varies from venue to venue. Most hotels will allow
couples to use this option of a private registrar ceremony if they choose
to have their wedding reception at the hotel regardless of whether they are
resident or not. There may also be extra fees incurred by the hotel depending
on which area the couple would like to use for their ceremony, for example
the use of a garden deck, gazebo or balcony.
The fee for a private registrar ceremony normally is €341.72, (£200.00CY).
This will depend on where your hotel is situated because of differing rates
charged by the municipality used to provide the private registrar. This does
not include the cost of the compulsory marriage licence fee of €281.92, (£165.00CY).
No further charges are made or will be added by I Do Wedding Company to
our clients for the compulsory marriage licence fee or use of private registrar.
